We are pleased to announce officially the eigth International Conference on Ecolinguistics in Rennes in 2026. You will find a few guiding principles in the document that you can download here. It is in French, English and Chinese.

We warmly invite you to ICE 8 2026 in Rennes, Brittany, France. The idea of the conference is to explore bio-cultural diversity from an ecolinguistic perspective. ICE 8 will take place the first week of July 2026 in Rennes, France. The organising committee is dedicated to two guiding principles. First, we plan a creative and active conference. This means adding more discussion time, workshops, artistic performances, and excursions alongside more classic presentation formats. Second, our aim is to make ICE 8 a truly multilingual conference, so we will experiment with translation and interpretation. While selected parts will be open to online participants, it will not be a fully hybrid event. Stay tuned!
